Sarah
Osteopath
Sarah is a registered osteopath with over 25 years’ clinical experience and is the founder and Clinic Director of Bucks Osteopathy & Physio and Bucks Podiatry.
Like all osteopaths, Sarah is trained to assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including those affecting the lower limb. However, she developed a particular interest in lower-limb biomechanics after introducing the Phits gait analysis and orthotics system to Bucks Osteopathy & Physio in 2019, initially to help patients with conditions such as plantar fasciitis.
Since then, Sarah has assessed and treated thousands of patients with foot and lower-limb problems. Her approach looks at how the foot, ankle, knee and hip work together, and how a person moves during everyday activities, walking and sport. Depending on the individual problem, treatment may include hands-on therapy, rehabilitation, shockwave therapy, detailed gait analysis and bespoke Phits orthotics.
Sarah particularly enjoys identifying the underlying biomechanical factors that may be contributing to persistent or recurring symptoms, rather than simply focusing on where the pain is felt. She works closely with the wider multidisciplinary team at Bucks Osteopathy & Physio and Bucks Podiatry when patients would benefit from additional podiatry, physiotherapy or other specialist input.
Outside the clinic, Sarah is a proud mother of four and treasures spending time with her family, even as some have now flown the nest. She loves hill walking, keeping active and travelling, particularly exploring new countries, cultures and food.
